You can register to use OCLC’s FirstSearch

To register for FirstSearch authorization:

Complete the form located at: http://www.oclc.org/support/forms/pdf/fsindo.pdf

In the Subscription Accounts section, indicate Base Package.

In the Special Instructions/Notes section indicate that this is part of the New Zealand partnership.

You will need to return the form in PDF format directly to OCLC either by fax to 614-764-4331 (Dublin, Ohio) or by submitting via email to AsiaPacific@oclc.org

You can limit your Index New Zealand searches to online articles

To limit your INNZ searches to only articles that are available online, select the “Online Articles” option in the Quick Limits drop-down menu (see the red arrow in the image below) before putting in your search terms.

You can register with OCLC to use cataloguing or FirstSearch services under the OCLC Agreement

  • You do not need to register  to use the gateway to WorldCat though WebCat or the Cataloguing Client.
  • You do need to register to use First Search or the OCLC Cataloguing services available to you. Download the registration form.

Select “Maori” on the Quick Limits dropdown menu to limit your INNZ search to articles in te reo Māori.

The Quick Limits dropdown menu appears on right-hand side of the search page and on the right-hand side above your search results.
